Community Projects

Gregg’s partners with you, the community, to raise funds and awareness for many worthwhile causes. We believe in giving back to the community that supports us! Through the hard work of our employees and the generosity of our guests we are able to help in many ways.





































You can have your cake and eat it, too. For every whole “Giving Cake” purchased, we donate $2 of the purchase price. Each slice purchased provides a 25-cent donation. This program has generated approximately $115,000 for Hasbro Children’s Hospital since its inception!
  Gregg's Giving Tree Every holiday season highlights the need that exists in all of our communities. Gregg’s Giving Tree Program is a perfect example of the extreme generosity of the people of Southeastern New England. Established in 1995, this program brings holiday joy to over 1,500 individuals and families annually.
  Holiday Fundraiser Ask about our Holiday Pie/Cake fundraising program. Another opportunity for us to partner together and generate funds for your group or organization.

Special Olympics Rhode Island Gregg’s is proud to be a Gold Medal Sponsor for the Special Olympics Torch Run. This “kick off” event raises funds for the Rhode Island Special Olympic athletes.

Newport Biodiesel All used oil produced by Gregg’s is collected by Newport Biodiesel to be converted to home heating oil that is used by homes in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island Community Food Bank This year, Gregg’s was very proud toonce again bring along our beautiful and tasty spring cupcakes to the “Taste of the Flower Show” that benefited the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.

Zoobilee! Gregg’s is proud to be a participant in the fund raising efforts of Roger Williams Zoo. Their annual “Zoobilee” takes place every June and is instrumental in providing the funds necessary to maintain the zoo for all to enjoy. Gregg’s desserts are a much anticipated part of this event.

Member of RI Hospitality Association/Education Foundation Gregg’s was one of the founding mem- bers of the Rhode Island Hospitality Association in 1989. This organization plays a key role in bringing tourists into the state as well as being the voice for our state’s second largest employer – the hospitality industry.
  Gregg’s “Cake for a Cure” is an integral part of the Gemma family’s initiative to raise funds to combat breast cancer. During their annual “waterfire” event, and throughout the month of October, our bright pink cake helps to generate funds for this important cause.

Rhode Island Blood Center We teamed up with the RI Blood Center in 2003 by holding blood drives at the Gregg’s locations. We are proud to say that with your help we have collected 582 donations which has saved 1,746 lives.
